Steven has written numerous books and articles on dealership performance and personnel inspiration and improvement. This includes his best-selling book titled Master of the Waiting Room where Shaw lays out his overall strategy for service advisor success. His latest work titled The Art of Pass-Fail Overcoming – Objections and Customer Management identifies a simple approach to the complicated task of objection and hostile customer handling. This book is seeing tremendous success on amazon along with seminar sales.
Steven has an advanced education including a Bachelor of Science in Auto Service Operations from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, MBA, and Doctor of Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Human Behavior. He is also a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), DISC Personality and multiple behavior disciplines.
Steven’s background in the auto dealership industry ranges from the highly technical as an ASE and Certified Technician, to Service Advisor, Manager and Fixed Operations Director at some of the highest volume and successful dealerships in the United States. His personal mission is to relate to the student’s role, connect and inspire a greater performance. Currently Steve Shaw is successfully, virtually training over 500 dealership rooftops, managers, advisors support associates, technicians and most importantly the future leaders of the industry.
